What is the flat cardboard material in the fruit packing houses called???

I’m not sure what you mean, never worked in a fruit packing house. I have worked in retail and grocery for many years. What I’m thinking of is the formed dividers between apples in a case. Its made of wood and paper pulp, kind of like cellulose, like the drink carriers at McDonald’s. I also worked in door manufacturing, and we used an item called “honeycomb” in between the door skins. It was made of paper, of course, in the shape of honeycombs. Very strong stuff. Hope this helps.
