Question about tape and packing a box up?

Soo, i need to send a broken laptop back to my cyber school. i arranged for fed ex to come tomorrow. I was just about to tape up the box but i only have duct tape, i looked it up and it says “dont use duct tape” but thats all i have! tomorrow i wont be home all day & i have no chances to go to the store so i need it packed tonight..do you think they’d let me used duct tape? thanks

Who said “don’t use duct tape”? – The cyber school, or Fed Ex? It is not clear.

If it was Fed Ex, then you should call them as beg for an exception since that is all that you have. Maybe the drivers carry rolls of tape and could do the final sealing.

If it was the school itself, then you could still call them and explain (and ask why they have that rule).

As it is, we can’t be much help. If you lived next door, I’d bring over my roll of package tape, but that is probably not likely.
